Threads for Success prepares young men during their transition from high school to adulthood. With coaching, guidance, and mentorship from local professionals, they learn to believe in themselves and their ability to succeed in the future.
In 2006, Detroit clothier and businessman Rob Wachler created Project Pinstripe, an organization dedicated to empowering young men from the inner city with career guidance and professional development. In addition, the organization helped the young men “dress for success” with a custom-fitted suit to wear to important educational and professional events. Project Pinstripe was later renamed Threads for Success and nearly two decades later has provided more than 1,200 men with career coaching and mentorship, as well as $41,000 in scholarship opportunities, helping them build confidence and self-esteem for life after high school.

Along with coaching, motivational speeches, scholarship opportunities, and a tailored suit, we aim to inspire these students to believe in themselves and their future success.
