Since 2006, Threads for Success, has provided mentorship, career guidance, and professional attire to over 1,200 participants in metro Detroit. In addition, we’ve awarded these men with over $40,000 in scholarships.
Our program has grown every year along with community enthusiasm for our mission of empowering young men to find success in their personal and professional lives. We count on the support of our donors to continue this work and expand our reach in the community.

Join us in making a difference
Your donation will impact our ability to offer scholarships, expand our coaching classes, and allow us to purchase a new shirt for each participant to complement the suit they receive during our annual event. While many of the shirts and suits we tailor for our participants are gently-used donations received from custom clothier clients, we need to purchase suits for young men who need smaller or extra large sizes.
Jack Philip Scholarship
Jack is the grandson of our late founder Rob Wachler. In 2019, Jack began volunteering at his first TFS event. In January 2022, one month before his passing, Rob created a Threads for Success scholarship in Jack’s name. It was his wish that Jack learn the importance of giving back and of asking others for help in meeting these goals. Rob asked, and Jack agreed to raise at least $250.00 each year toward this scholarship. This amount will be matched by Threads for Success and by his grandmother and Rob’s wife, Judy.
